Frequently asked questions

What counts as a slide credit?

A presentation slide or document page with a placeholder filled in by Slideform is counted as one slide credit. For spreadsheet output formats, each data placeholder counts as one slide credit.

Do I have to log into the dashboard to adjust the filters and date ranges before generating slides?

No! You can set the date range and filters in Slideform without going into the dashboard at all. Slideform supports all your dashboard filters,  custom date ranges, and relative date ranges ("last 7 days", etc). 

Does Slideform update the existing slide deck?

You'll have the option to either create a new deck (which you can then update manually if you prefer), or overwrite an existing report.

Can I set filters to control the dashboard visuals?

Slideform automatically detects all the filters you've set up on your dashboard. You can apply filters to specific visuals in Slideform to adjust the final output. You can even have more than one version of the same visual with different filters.

Can I use Slideform to make teaching materials?

Slideform is not designed to create teaching presentations, but instead for presentations that are created over and over with different data or metrics.

Can I use Slideform to make brochures?

Yes, you can create flyers, pamphlets, and client one-pagers with a slide template with a portrait page layout. Just make the template and add text, data, and image placeholders to the pages. Slideform will generate the slides and you can save them in PowerPoint, Google Slides, or even pdf format.

Can I use my company's existing slide template?

Yes! Slideform works with your customized, branded slide template in Google Slides or PowerPoint. There's no need to create a new template, and no new presentation software to learn.

Is there any AI training or data retention of the data from my dashboard?

Slideform is a pass-through system. Once we're done making the slides, our system purges the intermediate data.
