This quarter we're excited to introduce our new AI Assistant! The AI Assistant greatly expands what you can do with Slideform, allowing you to query, analyze, and summarize your data, create custom charts, tables, and metrics, then insert them into presentations. Read on for all the details.
Conversational AI has the potential to reinvent the way that business intelligence is discovered and reported. Slideform’s AI Assistant is leading the way toward that transformation. With our AI Assistant, you're no longer limited to the static charts and metrics on a dashboard. Now you can query, summarize, and visualize data from your BI data sources using natural language. Then send them to a customized presentation or report.
How does Slideform's AI compare to other tools? We found its really difficult to create customized Google Slides or PowerPoint decks with the leading chatbot tools. In addition, those tools can't connect to dashboards and other data sources to pull in content. The AI built into some BI platforms have cool capabilities, but they are very limited in terms of output and interoperability with Google Slides and PPT.
The top three biggest advantages of the Slideform AI Assistant, according to our Beta testers, are:
1. Ability to modify and customize charts from a BI dashboard. Client-facing teams need to make slight changes to charts and visuals, but they may not have access to edit the dashboard. In Slideform, they can recreate any chart with different colors, sizing, or customizations for the client.
2. Ability to create simple metrics that are not on the dashboard. Instead of calculating simple metrics by hand and typing them into the presentation, you can tell Slideform's AI Assistant what you need and insert it into the deck automatically.
3. When used with non-dashboard data sources like HubSpot CRM and data warehouses, the ability to query and create visualizations directly in Slideform is a huge win.

The Slideform AI Assistant is designed for reliable, replicable analysis. Behind the scenes it goes through a series of highly optimized steps to ensure that the output is accurate based on the input data. The analysis is then saved so it can be rerun on new or updated data without having the AI "think" about it again.
The final step in automating away the dashboard is embedding the AI-generated charts or insights into your presentations and reports. This capability goes well beyond any "AI presentation makers" you can find online. Our AI Assistant works with your normal Slideform projects. Just upload your template with placeholders for dynamic elements, then match the AI-generated content to a placeholder in the report. You can combine data from multiple data sources, with or without AI-generated elements, in a single report. Set a schedule to have the report delivered to you when you need it.
