Product Updates for April 2026

This month, we are excited to share some major improvements to the Slideform application to integrate our growing AI capabilities across the platform. Improvements include: redesigned navigation menus, BYOK for AI models, a chat widget for in-app support, bug reports and feedback, and a powerful usage dashboard.


Why this update matters

Over the last few months, we have added a lot of AI power to Slideform. This update is about making that power easier to access in your normal workflow, without adding extra complexity. Our goal is simple: help your team build better reports faster.

Redesigned Slideform Navigation 

We reorganized key aspects of the Slideform Application Nav Menu in order to integrate AI-powered capabilities directly into the workflows that our customers use. 
  1. Launchpad - This is the default home page for new accounts and includes a starter guide that walks through how to create a new project.
  2. Workspace - The workspace includes the projects and results homepage and it is the new home for your AI assistants and the AI chat Agent (formerly Analyst).
  3. Library - The library stores all of your AI-created artifacts, images, and reports.
  4. Data Sources - The data sources page has not changed much. It is where you add new data sources and manage those that are already connected to Slideform.
  5. Settings - The minor change to Settings is the addition of all the AI-related settings in this section.

 

We are excited by these changes and the potential to make Slideform easier to use. We look forward to hearing your feedback.

 

BYOK for AI models

"Bring Your Own Key" (BYOK) allows Slideform users to connect a personal or corporate API key from providers like OpenAI or Google directly into Slideform. Instead of paying Slideform for AI token usage, you pay for your actual API usage directly to the AI model provider, often resulting in lower costs and greater flexibility. You still pay a fee for Slideform platform usage.

To connect your own API key go to Settings > API Keys > Add API Key

Note: If desired, you can disable all AI features in your Slideform account. Go to Admin > License & Plans > Insight Addons, and select AI Features Disabled from the dropdown.

 

In-app Support Widget

We expanded chat support to be more embedded in the product experience, so help is available in context.

The support widget is located in the bottom right corner of each page. It enables:

  • Faster troubleshooting without leaving the page.
  • Better guidance while configuring projects, mappings, and outputs.
      • Easier handoff from chat to Slideform support team.

We also added a more structured bug report and feedback module so users can report issues and ideas directly from the application.

To report a bug or feature request, type "/feedback" in the chat widget.

To review all feedback and support tickets for your account, go to Admin > Feedback.

 

 

Usage Dashboard

We introduced usage dashboard improvements to give teams a clearer view of how Slideform is being used, where activity is growing, and which workflows are getting the most traction. The usage dashboard is visible to Admin users.

The usage dashboard provides:

  • Visual tracking of usage patterns
  • Slide and AI token usage
  • Usage by user and by project
